Featured Gemstone : Amazonite

Amazonite is one of the most amazing examples of green gemstone on the planet! I love this stone because the white veins mixed with brilliant green create a texture and color scheme that grab everyone's attention!

There is a long history of using amazonite for healing, spiritual enlightenment, and personal empowerment. I have chosen this stone to use in some of my handmade wrap bracelets because of the energies and ideals it symbolizes, and I'd like to share more about those powers with you here!

Even though the name sounds exotic, amazonite is actually found in USA and in Mexico as well. This stone is mined in several domestic locations and comes in a wide range of green and white hues to fit any taste. The green color that amazonite has is actually caused by the appearance of copper during the crystallization process! Have you ever noticed how copper will oxidize and turn green when wet or left out? That same process creates the unique green color in amazonite!

Amazonite is a great stone for women. It is believed to create courage, confidence, and will power while at the same time strengthening the intellect and rationalizing power. This means that the person who wears amazonite can create better boundaries for themselves, act from the heart and the mind equally without fear, and create the things they want in life with confidence and faith in self.
