The Healing Power Of Copper

One of this season's hottest colors is copper, gold, and rust. These regal colors inspire a sense of luxury, abundance, and joy - and they have a long history of being used in healing and spiritual empowerment. I'd like to share some of the healing properties and spiritual meanings of copper with you in this post and introducse you to a few new wrap bracelets that feature either copper metal or the inspiring copper color!

HISTORY

There is over 10,000 years of history involved with the mining and use of copper. People all across the world have prized this metal for its briliance and color as well as its ease of use in metal crafting. By 2500 BCE, the Egyptians had mastered copper working so well that they were able to make delicate crowns, sturdy religious items, and intricate pieces of art from it that survive even today!

HEALING

Copper is a great conductor of electricity, and for this reason many healers use it to conduct vital life energy (Qi, Chi, Prana) to their patients. Many people use copper to wrap gemstones, crystals, or other jewelry pieces since it is believed that the copper will transmit the powers of the stone more readily to the person who wears them.

Copper is believed to smooth and amplify the flow of life energy within the body, and in doing so it also smoothes the thoughts, emotions, and energies. Copper is capable of 'grounding' us without draining our precious energy.

Many people wear copper mixed with magnets to help blood flow, remove toxins, and open up the body to new vital life energy. Throughout Asia, copper is a prized healing metal that is worn as a bracelet or necklace by many people.

SPIRITUAL

For ages copper has been connected to the Divine feminine, especially in relation to Venus. Although it is solar /Yang in color, it is believed to be the perfect compliment to Goddess/Yin energy and creates a powerful balance.
