The Special Meanings Of Color

 

Did you know that there's more to color than meets the eye? Throughout the ages, color has been used to change mood, call in energy, and connect people to new ideas and ideals to heklp transform their lives in positive ways. Color can act as a kind of magnet that draws good feelings and thoughts our way throughout the day just by having it around us!

When I create my handmade silk wrap bracelets, I often times think of the different spiritual, inspirational, and healing energies of colors to match them up with the charms and gemstones I use in making them. Colors play such an important role in our lives, our happiness, our mood, and our healing that I wanted to share my ideas about their meanings and signifigance with you today. As you read through the meanings of colors listed below, think about which colors you love most, which colors you stay away from, and which colors make you feel the best. Then, read the meanings to see what they say about you!

Red is an exciting color that stimulates the body, mind, and senses. This fiery color helps us get into gear, carry out actions, avoid laziness, and keep our minds active and energized. A great color for go-getters and people who like to make magic happen!

Orange is warm, vibrant, and life-affirming. This is the traditional color of courage and it inspires us to trust in life itself and go froward to create positive changes in our lives.

Yellow is a very mind-focused color. It inspires creativity, joy, and optimism. When yellow is present in any of its shades, it's almost impossible ot let negative thoughts and energies in!

Green is the color of nature, growth, and life. It reminds of us of the truth about welath and abundance and encourages us to see the beauty all around us. This color inspires development, love, trust, abundance, and happiness.

Blue is the ultimate color of peace, tranquility, and love. It rules the voice and encourages us to speak up and share our feelings with others. Blue calms, soothes, and helps take away the 'heat' of anger and aggression.

Indigo is a mysterious color that represents wisdom, insight, intuition, and self-mastery. This color is perfect for those on a spiritual path who want to unravel the secrets of life and see the hidden power that surrounds us all.

Purple is the traditional color of enlightenment, peace, and spirituality. This color has been worn by royalty and by religious figures throughout time a symbol of power and spiritual authority. This is a great color for those on any spiritual path!

Brown is the color of the earth. It grounds, centers, and calms us with the love of mother nature. This warm and inviting color helps us open up to feel the love that surrounds us while allowing us to stay centered and wise all the while.

Black contains all the other colors so it represents fullness, revealed mysteries, and completion. This powerful color is also belived to absorb negative energy, worry, and stress in the same way that it absorbs all colors of the light spectrum! A classy color that has some seriously beneficial energies!

Spiritual meaning of white

White represents purity, peace, divinity, and simplicity. This is the ultimate color of letting go and surrendering in to the love that equally surrounds all people at all times. White uplifts us and helps remind us that we are all worthy and deserving of unlimited blessings!
